I like to set creative goals each month- usually something in my hand to embroider, something for the machine, something to plan, something that is a challenge! It helps me to stay focused if I have tasks that explore different skills. So if I need something easy- I don’t even have to think about it- it’s there waiting for me! I write them on a small chalk board but once they make it onto the list, they can’t come off until I have finished it! It sounds like lots of rules but it works for me!
Exactly! I'm the same way. I love having projects ready to just pick up without having to think twice about it. I also tend to do all my prepping at once. Like for my bookmarks I'll draw all the designs out in one go, then I'll paint the all the pieces of paper and then sit down to poke every hole through. I'm realizing that I work a little bit like an assembly line lol.
Gorgeous inspirations. I love the mix of intentional goal-setting while maintaining room for free-flowing inspiration and whims.
Thank you Petra! Having a list helps me organize my thoughts, but I need some space for chaos too. 😅
